Boulder Opal from Queensland Australia. The surface of the Boulder Opal
is highly polished but is slightly uneven which is characteristic of
this stone. The flashes of color from this stone are blue, red and
green. There are some specs of ironstone and grayish veils through which
there is some green fire. This one-of-a-kind ring is constructed of 18kt strips of
varying thickness and length shaped and soldered in place and then
finished by engraving along their length. This ring is asymmetric
in its shape, but balances the metal-work against the shape of the opal.
